Why Poppies are Selective

Poppies are the state flower for the state of California. They are beautiful and naturally grow in the best places suited
for their best life now. This picture is taken in the town of Santa Cruz less than a mile from my home and near the beach.

I have long wanted these flowers to grow in my garden. I have planted seeds and even saw one spontaneously show up
in my front yard. Sadly, that one little poppy did not last after producing its one beautiful flower. Nature knows exactly where
those poppies need to grow and do well over many generations. My yard was not one of those places.

In the same way, the Truth of life and the leading of one’s purpose and gifts does not show up uniformly for everyone.
We all have the same Creator and yet we are a unique gift to each other. We were not designed to be copies of those
around us. That said, honoring the differences amongst us is highly beneficial. We all need to flourish in the garden of life
that promotes our best life now.

There is a reason that variety is the spice of life. It gives us all an opportunity to express our different points of view and
add value to those around us that may have a different perspective. Express that different point of view and allow for the
enrichment of others by your presence. You deserve to express the gift only you were brought here to provide.

Celebrate the “flowering” of your life and be mindful of the soil around you, lest it impair your mission.
